The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen India’s agricultural export ecosystem by improving logistics infrastructure, cold-chain capabilities and connectivity for agri and processed food products.
The MoU was signed on 17 September 2026 at CONCOR Bhawan, New Delhi, marking a significant collaboration aimed at creating more efficient export pathways for Indian agricultural products and supporting exporters in accessing international markets.
Under this partnership, APEDA and CONCOR will work together to develop integrated logistics solutions that address key challenges in the movement of agricultural commodities. The collaboration will focus on enhancing supply-chain efficiency, improving transportation networks and strengthening export linkages between production centres and global destinations.
A key focus area of the partnership is supporting exporters from landlocked and remote regions by enabling better access to logistics infrastructure and improving the movement of temperature-sensitive products through enhanced cold-chain solutions.
With increasing global demand for Indian agricultural and processed food products, efficient logistics and reliable supply-chain systems have become essential for maintaining product quality, reducing transit challenges and expanding export opportunities.
The collaboration brings together APEDA’s role in promoting agricultural and processed food exports with CONCOR’s expertise in containerised logistics and multimodal transportation. Together, both organisations aim to create a stronger framework for exporters through improved connectivity, sustainable logistics practices and enhanced cargo handling capabilities.
The initiative reflects the growing importance of logistics infrastructure in India’s agri-export growth story.
